Psalm 1

1Blessed is the one

who does not walk in step with the wicked

or stand in the way that sinners take

or sit in the company of mockers,

2but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

and who meditates on his law day and night.

3That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,l

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—

whatever they do prospers.

4Not so the wicked!

They are like chaff

that the wind blows away.

5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,

but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Today is the official last day of September, and the beginning of a new season of fall.  The scripture for today is a great one.

Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:9-10

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,

This is a repost from 2017 – the message talks about the era of transitioning.

Last Friday, March 17 I post many interesting facts that I’ve understood about a biblical transition between King David handing over his reign to his son Solomon.  I only posted the scripture without any input from my writing. The Word explanation is life and powerful all by its self.

As I often ask the Lord where are we and what is happening in our earth from heavens perspective?

Now according to the scriptures pertaining to Adonijah, what does the battle between elder brother Adonijah and the 2nd son Solomon is about?  It’s about the battle of 5 things:

1. Law and Grace

2. The enemy for the position of power.

3. The law living in the position of power.l

4.  The reign of the totality of grace – Solomon Temple and the extended presence of Christ in the body of Christ.

5. Faith through Love living.

The enemy of Grace coming into the lives of God church body, Adonijah, in his mischievous kind of why tried to under handedly attempted to steal the position during a transitioning time without the King David realizing it. Adonijah knew his father King David was sick in bed and wasn’t fully equipped to oversee the kingdom.  Because of the promise to David that his son Solomon will inherit the reign of his kingdom, someone from the field watching Adonijah’s error, who  understand protocol ran to the house of David and revealed the treacherous act.  At that moment the King David raised from his bed and placed the coat – King David had the original coat; placed the Kings robe on his son Solomon.

The story has many connotations to feed on for adequate accuracy of His Word for the 2017 current year. Solomon reign as King blessed the nation with the measurement of Solomon’s temple — which is the temple of you.

Be blessed as you read the story.

Here is the Friday scripture posting from Friday.

The Execution of Adonijah

1Kings 2:24-26

…24″Now therefore, as the LORD lives, who has established me and set me on the throne of David my father and who has made me a house as He promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death today.”

25So King Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell upon him so that he died.

26Then to Abiathar the priest the king said, “Go to Anathoth to your own field, for you deserve to die; but I will not put you to death at this time, because you carried the ark of the Lord GOD before my father David, and because you were afflicted in everything with which my father was afflicted.”…

So King Solomon gave orders to Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he struck down Adonijah and he died.

Graceful faith is simply believing daily your steps for an ultimate end.  The word tells us that our steps are ordered by the Lord.  The word also tells us that the word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.  As you understand profoundly about scripture, you can come to realize that the lamp is an inward knowing leading your way.

Today, keep your ears open to hearing with ears that only your inwardly will know the details where to step next.

Here is a video that Mr. Tyler Perry recorded many years ago.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Psalm 25

Of David.

1In you, Lord my God,

I put my trust.

2I trust in you;

do not let me be put to shame,

nor let my enemies triumph over me.

3No one who hopes in you

will ever be put to shame,

but shame will come on those

who are treacherous without cause.

4Show me your ways, Lord,

teach me your paths.

5Guide me in your truth and teach me,

for you are God my Savior,

and my hope is in you all day long.

6Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,

for they are from of old.

7Do not remember the sins of my youth

and my rebellious ways;

according to your love remember me,

for you, Lord, are good.

8Good and upright is the Lord;

therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.

9He guides the humble in what is right

and teaches them his way.

10All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful

toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.

11For the sake of your name, Lord,

forgive my iniquity, though it is great.

12Who, then, are those who fear the Lord?

He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.b

13They will spend their days in prosperity,

and their descendants will inherit the land.

14The Lord confides in those who fear him;

he makes his covenant known to them.

15My eyes are ever on the Lord,

for only he will release my feet from the snare.

16Turn to me and be gracious to me,

for I am lonely and afflicted.

17Relieve the troubles of my heart

and free me from my anguish.

18Look on my affliction and my distress

and take away all my sins.

19See how numerous are my enemies

and how fiercely they hate me!

20Guard my life and rescue me;

do not let me be put to shame,

for I take refuge in you.

21May integrity and uprightness protect me,

because my hope, Lord,c is in you.

22Deliver Israel, O God,

from all their troubles!

The Beatitudes

He said:

3“Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4Blessed are those who mourn,

for they will be comforted.

5Blessed are the meek,

for they will inherit the earth.

6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

for they will be filled.

7Blessed are the merciful,

for they will be shown mercy.

8Blessed are the pure in heart,

for they will see God.

9Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they will be called children of God.

10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Never tear down anything unless you are prepared to build something better in its place.

This rule applies to both individuals and things. It’s easy to criticize other people thoughtlessly for their shortcomings, and equally easy to find fault in their work or in situations that are not to your liking. It is far more difficult to be a builder of people and to create works of art, useful products, or profitable businesses. Make sure you are a builder, not a destroyer of people and things. When you criticize the actions or work of others — your children, your employees, or others for whom you are responsible — make sure your criticisms are positive and directed at the act, or the opportunity for improvement, not the individual. Include specific suggestions for their application and focus on the potential for success.

We never want to underestimate a kind word spoken even in passing to someone we encounter on our journey. Words indeed create worlds, as the late Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel asserted.

It was Jean Vanier who said “To be lonely is to feel unwanted and unloved, and therefore unloveable…”. The profound alienation and loneliness prevalent in the culture is masked by the many addictions present within the culture.

A year ago, I recorded a Bible Study on the book of Job; showing The law, grace and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Job is a story about the totality of Christ Jesus. God bless!

As scripture foretells in the New Testament by the commission of Jesus to His disciples, go and preach the Kingdom to everyone and everything.

Lamps, Lamps Lamps and more Lamps.

This is a picture of a person who has received understanding of the word of God.  Picture that for a moment.  I’m thinking about the praying lamps – the grandmothers, and or mothers who usually sit on the first two rows of any church.  Meditate on that but seeing beautiful lamps positioned perfectly trimmed with colored hats that represent lamp shades to tone down the light for the edifier – the pastor and or the teachers on Sunday’s.  (smiles)

After this write-up, I hope that you no longer see another seasoned believer the same; I pray that your spiritual eyes will see them as lamps, ready to embrace, for you see them;  some, the lamps are like the measures of a light bulb – 30 watt, 60 watt, 70 watt, 100 watt, 200 watt, and even 500 watt, but there is a light and some, the lights are shining brighter than bright.  At the same time, you can see lights that need to be changed, though the light bulb has burned out over time and need to be replaced or even upgraded for better brightness.  That would be the studying of the word of God.

There is a scripture that will better embrace my point regarding “Lamps” shining everywhere.  The scripture is Psalms 119:105 says,

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

You see, once I understood that the very scriptures I and you read daily are lamps, and when revelations is given by the Holy Spirit over and over and over and over again in my and your lifetime, it is light to your path.

Can you know fact,  that nature light shines forever because of the word in which nature is created to be as created, that hears and sees, that is never darkened by the seasons….Nature brings enlightenment daily….

You see, this will eliminate those who enjoy putting your light out so that they can shine brighter than the person they’re assaulting or embarrassing or gossiping or shaming publicly and privately.  It actually puts their light out or it dims it over time for it to be changed for a newer light or brighter light bulb the educating a better understanding of His word. If that makes any sense?

The word is also seed, which is Jesus and He can not be destroyed because the seed or the lamp has been revealed which is the path.

Now picture that concept in a seasoned believer which is not determined by age, race or any demographic measurements. It is determined by a thirsty and a hungry soul that is longing for a brighter way of life.

You future is bright, accept that, it has been confirmed and made true.

Have a wonderful week!
