Are you ready to make a very important decision on November 8? You may ask, what is happening on November 8? It is the voting time for the United States to select a new president for the next 4 years. I hope you all are ready to make your selection!
This 2016 presidential election is the real deal. We have two candidates that are not our traditional imagery of what we have been presented as presidential candidates in the past. This is why we have to make sure we do our part by asking everyone around us “Are you registered to vote?” The deadline to register to vote is October 11.

Voting requirementsIn person ID requirements
All Georgia voters who vote in person (including voting early) must provide one of the following forms of ID:
By mail ID requirements
- Georgia driver’s license
- Georgia voter ID or other ID card issued by the State of Georgia, any other state, or the US government
- Employee photo ID issued by the US government, Georgia government, or any county, municipality, board, authority, or other Georgia government entity
If you’re not voting for the first time in Georgia, you don’t need to provide ID to vote by mail
If you’re a first-time Georgia voter who registered by mail and did not provide ID when you registered, you’ll need to provide a copy of one of the following forms of ID along with your mail ballot:
- A current photo ID
- A current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and address
